Overview

Amador launched a 4,000-meter drilling program at the Ajax Property in early 2008. The property includes the Ajax Mine, first developed in the 1930s. The mine was revived in 1974 and produced 1.39 million pounds of nickel and 3.11 million pounds of copper along with by-product gold, silver and PGMs from 278,263 milled tons to 1976. Based on three estimates, remaining resources are estimated at more than 4 million tonnes at combined nickel-copper grades ranging from 0.54% up to 1.42%. These historic estimates are non-compliant with NI 43-101 standards, should not be replied upon, and are provided only to indicate geological potential.

Geology

The Ajax deposit is hosted within the Ajax intrusion, an ovoid body measuring 1,070 meters by 760 meters in size, cutting mafic to felsic volcanic rocks. The copper-mineralization at the Ajax deposit occurs as disseminated to massive sulphides associated with a keel structure in the Ajax ultramafic intrusive.

Next Steps

The objectives of ongoing drilling and exploration are: confirm and expand historic resources; test contact zones and structures associated with the Ajax intrusion; explore for disseminated copper-nickel-PGM mineralization; and test four EM anomaly trends identified by recent VTEM airborne geophysical surveys.
